Rapid City Regional Airport Sanitary Sewer System Project
This project consists of designing and constructing a wastewater treatment system for the entire airport to replace the existing wastewater lagoon. The current facilities were built in the 1950's and are inadequate for future airport needs. The federal work will be performed under an FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant with matching local dollars to complete the project.
The purpose of the proposed action is to provide a cost effective and reliable wastewater treatment system for the Airport that is designed to meet South Dakota Recommended Design Criteria for Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facilities.
The EA is an informational document intended for use by both decision makers and the public. As such, it represents a disclosure of relevant environmental information concerning the Proposed Action.
