Airport Art: Northern Plains Watercolor Society
Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) in partnership with the Northern Plains Watercolor Society is proud to announce a new exhibit in the concourse.
The exhibit features several local artists:
Northern Plains Watercolor Society is local 501c3 non-profit whose focus is to encourage growth in the art of watercolor.
Melissa Wood, Vice President of Northern Plains Watercolor Society, says the artwork allows tourists to see the beauty of South Dakota before leaving the airport.
She states “I think it is just a great way to welcome tourists to our area. Not only do we have beautiful landscapes and Mount Rushmore, but we have amazing artists and talent.”
The goal of the Rapid City Regional Airport arts program is to enhance the passenger experience by reflecting the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Black Hills.
