Northern Hills and Spearfish Canyon
Tuesday September 24, 2024
Arrive at Rapid City Regional Airport on Tuesday, a short tour will be provided by airport staff, we will then provide transportation to the Northern Black Hills.
For the first two nights, you will be staying in Spearfish Canyon, where towering limestone cliffs frame the road, leading to hidden waterfalls, incredible hiking and views. Dinner is provided on September 24th at the hotel.

Mt. Rushmore
Thursday - September 26, 2024
We will move to downtown Rapid City at the Hotel Alex Johnson. This historic building has hosted presidents and celebrities and has great walking access to charming downtown. Tickets to a trolley tour of Rapid City are provided upon request, or join us for a group hiking trip.
Friday - September 27, 2024
A herd of over 1,000 bison roams freely throughout the park until today, when cowboys and park crews saddle up to bring in the herd.
You will wake up early and be part of the event with exclusive press pass provided by Custer State Park. Bring your camera and a pair of comfortable shoes, we will be riding in the back of a pickup and following the herd to the corrals. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a trip to Mt. Rushmore.
